One Word Resolution of 2009

“For 2009, the goal is simple: BRANDIFICATION.”

Each new year, I come up with a single word theme for my resolution. For 2009, it’s about personal BRANDIFICATION – letting my best attributes stand out in every aspect.

Every day is a performance

I heard a nice revelation from a young person today:

“Every day is a performance.”

This was an intern speaking at a benefits luncheon about their experience starting out in the corporate world. This wasn’t just any intern – it was one of the alumnis from a special development school for poor, underprivileged youths.

I’m so inspired by this program and have been looking into becoming a volunteer associate. I wish we had opportunities and training like this when I was growing up!
